Paying Tribute to Star Patrick Murray: Iconic Only Fools and Horses Actor Dies at the Age of 68

Star Patrick Murray, most famous for taking on the role of Mickey Pearce in the classic comedy series Only Fools and Horses, has left us at 68 years old.

Health Struggle

Back in 2021, Patrick Murray shared that he had been diagnosed with cancer and underwent an procedure to remove a lung tumor in its initial phase.

He stated in 2022 that his oncologist had told him that his “lung tumor was gone and that the tumor in his liver was reducing”, but in April 2023 he announced it had come back.

Acting Roles

The actor starred as Mickey, a not-so-bright friend of David Jason’s Del Boy and the role of Rodney Trotter, across twenty installments of the sitcom from 1983 to 2003.

Prior to his role in the series, Murray appeared in motion pictures such as Quadrophenia, Scum, and Curse of the Pink Panther.

Additional television roles featured the nineties sitcom The Upper Hand, The Bill, ITV Playhouse, and Bergerac.
