"I don't want the BBC leaning this way or that way, I simply desire it neutral, fair and equitable," he says.
Upon being questioned if he considers the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, he replies: "No I don't. To be clear, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is top-tier - encompassing informative and fictional programming."
Nevertheless, he states: "There remains significant effort that must be undertaken at the BBC."
Another former external British Broadcasting Corporation adviser examined by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she takes the British Broadcasting Corporation very seriously and that it maintains a "ongoing system and lively discussion" across fluid and multifaceted issues.
"Was the BBC willing to have a proper dialogue and argument and implement changes?" she questions. "From my perspective, affirmative, they were."
