In a surprising partnership that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
